In December, MCAG Directors made the following decisions –
As the Merced County Regional Waste Management Authority Board:
There were no agenda items in December.
As the Transit Joint Powers Authority for Merced County:
- Authorized the realignment of Route TSA-10 (Gustine-Stevinson-Hilmar-Turlock) into new Route 6 to serve only Hilmar and Turlock, effective Jan. 2, 2009.
- Rescinded the Nov. 18, 2008 action to eliminate transit service on Saturdays.
As the MCAG Governing Board
- Approved the Final Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program .
- Held a public hearing on a Regional Transportation Plan amendment covering revisions in revenue and expenditure estimates, and details on segmenting/phasing approach for construction of the Los Banos Bypass project. No comments were received.
- Held a public hearing on Draft Amendment No. 3 to the 2009 Interim Federal Transportation Improvement Program. No comments were received.
- Appointed Director Joe Oliveira as alternate to the San Joaquin Valley Policy Council and to authorize Directors Johnny Mays and Oliveira to submit applications to the San Joaquin Valley Partnership.
