
Board Actions
In September 2008, MCAG Directors made the following decisions -
Merced County Regional Waste Management Authority Board:
There were no agenda items in August.
Transit Joint Powers Authority for Merced County:
- Approved a new policy: Service Suspension for Violent and Disruptive Behavior and /or illegal Conduct on Merced County Transit Vehicles.
- Appointed a subcommittee to meet quarterly with transit managers to develop a service plan and annual budget
- Heard a report on bus issues due to a 43% reduction in budget from the state
MCAG Governing Board:
- Changed the Board’s position on SB 375 from oppose to neutral
- Selected to send two representatives and one staff member to the San Joaquin Valley “Valley Voice” visit to Washington, D.C. in March 2009
- Approved a report on transit revenues and determined that the fare box ratio was not met for 2006/07.
- Continued discussion on new alignment for the Atwater-Merced Expressway after further meetings with the Atwater Elementary School District. The Draft Environmental Impact Report will need to be recirculated for 45 days.
- Appointed Lila McIver as City Citizen-at-Large and Patti Dossetti as County Citizen-at-Large for the Integrated Waste Management Local Task Force.
