MCAG wants to involve you in the decision-making process. We hope you will look to this site as your place to learn more about the Merced County Association of Governments and its many programs and projects, which impact all who live in Merced County. This site offers information that you need to make informed decisions, and offers opportunities for you to express your thoughts on the issues.

We hope that, when you discover an issue of particular interest, you will get involved. The best way to have a voice is through participating. Our publications, news releases, and workshop announcements list many opportunities for you to become involved. Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)

The 17-member Citizens Advisory Committee is a group of private sector individuals who are appointed by the Governing Board to serve based on the geographic location of their home or business and their work experience. By their By-Laws, none can be an elected official in the county.

If you are interested in being appointed to the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), please fill out the APPLICATION FOR APPOINTMENT TO CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE and fax to: 209.723.0322 OR mail to: MCAG, 369 West 18th Street, Merced, CA 95340.

The CAC meetings are held on the 1st Friday of every month at the MCAG Offices, 369 West 18th Street, Merced. The meetings are held at 8:30 a.m.
