Grant Development

Purpose:
To provide grant writing services to MCAG member jurisdictions other public agencies, and the Recycling Market Development Zone. To provide a directory of grant resources through the MCAG web site.

Discussion:
This element continues efforts to attract resources with which identified projects may be implemented. MCAG prepares grant proposals for projects that benefit MCAG member jurisdictions, other public agencies, and Recycling Market Development Zone.

Statewide Park Development & Community Revitalization Program

Eligible Projects: Acquisition to create a new park, community center, garden, gymnasiums, recreational trails, open space, picnic areas, skate parks, swimming pools, performing arts venues, playgrounds and support amenities such as restrooms.
Required Match: None
Maximum Award: $5,000,000
Due Date: March 1, 2010

Nature Education Facilities Program

Eligible Projects: Structures and/or facilities to promote nature education, including: aquariums, zoos, science museums, nature centers; equipment or construction to expand or enhance current facilities.
Required Match: None.
Maximum Award: $5,000,000

Stewardship Council Infrastructure Fund

Eligible Projects: Parks and recreational opportunities to benefit underserved youth
Required Match: None.
