Merced Data Special Services (MDSS) - 4100

To provide a legal entity whereby products related to services already provided by MCAG may be sold to the public. Those products currently include specialized maps provided by the GIS department and advertising on the www.yosemite.com website. 

GIS:

MCAG GIS staff receives many requests throughout the year for maps and data that are not part of our regular work program. This element allows for the accommodation of these requests and is paid for by the individual or agency requesting these services or products.

All work completed in this element is billed at a marketable rate and will cover the staff time to complete and the material costs to produce.

MDSS, Inc. will prepare this element under an agreement with MCAG.

Yosemite.com:

Several years ago, MCAG purchased the www.yosemite.com domain name to provide a website where tourism vendors, with a tie to Yosemite National Park, could advertise, on a fee basis. This has proven to be popular with tourism vendors in Merced County and elsewhere close to the park.

All work completed in this element is billed at a marketable rate and will cover the needed staff time and production materials.
