Public Relations / Education - 1210
To expand resident understanding of the issues and process that effects the planning and implementation of the regional transportation system in Merced County. To inform and report to residents throughout the county, along with other interested parties, of the services and products that MCAG provides.
An informed public is the cornerstone of participatory government. By having current and correct information, citizens are able to actively participate in all parts of the decision making process.
In view of current difficulties in securing adequate financing for needed transportation projects, the purpose of this element is critical.
